The Thompson Hotel

Visiting The Thompson Hotel in the heart of Hollywood is a sophisticated experience that starts the moment a guest takes their first steps into the lobby and continues throughout their stay. World-renowned London-based interior design studio, Tara Bernerd & Partners, designed all 188,390 square feet of this immaculate hotel. Sound Investment was contracted as the lead audio visual integration consultant for The Thompson, working to design an all-around sound system that would allow sound to reach every inch of the hotel.

The Thompson Hotel is a luxurious new lifestyle hotel packed with Funktion One audio and BSS control systems, alluring decor, and a beautiful view of the Hollywood sign and the city beyond. Atop the hotel sits a rooftop pool with sweeping views and Bar Lis, the crown jewel of Hollywood. Bar Lis is a rooftop lounge that captures the iconic spirit and playful sophistication of the Côte d’Azur, serving inventive cocktails and canapés.

Despite the challenges of building such a large project during a global pandemic, our Los Angeles-based team installed a multi-zone background sound system throughout the hotel’s public spaces and a high-fidelity Funktion One lounge system for their rooftop entertainment lounges. Using the latest technology, Sound Investment was able to provide this establishment and their guests with a heightened sensory experience that enhanced the desirability of reserving one of The Thompson’s 190 guest suites.
