The Tommie, nestled in the vibrant Hollywood district of Los Angeles, is an eleven-story hotel renowned for its exceptional amenities. Guests are treated to a stunning outdoor signature restaurant, a Pioneertown-inspired rooftop bar, and a luxurious pool that encapsulates the quintessential California experience. This hotel blends relaxed vibes with high-end luxury, providing an unforgettable environment for all visitors.
In early 2022, we embarked on a multi-year project to design and integrate a state-of-the-art audio system for two of the hotel’s standout venues: the outdoor restaurant, KA’TEEN, and the rooftop lounge, Desert Five Spot. With a capacity to host over 350 people, Desert Five Spot features a lounge bar, a sparkling pool, and breathtaking 360-degree views of the iconic LA skyline and the legendary Hollywood sign. The design of this space is both inviting and exhilarating, making it a perfect destination for guests seeking a memorable experience.
On the first floor, KA’TEEN offers over 5,000 square feet of vibrant dining space where guests can indulge in a unique culinary experience. The audio system design for both venues prioritized a multi-zone, multi-source setup that employs Funktion-One speakers, Full Fat Audio amplification, and processing technology. This combination ensures that sound in its purest form reaches every corner of the restaurant and lounge, providing guests with an optimal audio experience that enhances their enjoyment and complements the ambiance.
