From morning coffee meetings to evening cocktails, the pace of a lifestyle hotel changes constantly. Every space has a different purpose depending on the time of day, and the technology behind it has to keep up. At W Hotel Westwood, Sound Investment Audio designed and integrated an upgraded audio and video system that gave the property the flexibility to support everything from everyday guest experiences to business meetings and private events.

Completed in 2015, the project modernized the hotel’s public-facing AV infrastructure with a new multi-zone platform designed for easier operation and greater versatility. Restaurants, lounge spaces, conference rooms, and other shared areas each required independent control while remaining part of one cohesive system. Instead of relying on separate systems for different parts of the property, hotel staff gained a centralized solution that allows each space to operate according to its own schedule and purpose.

The installation included QSC loudspeakers, BSS control, Epson projection, and upgraded conference room AV designed to improve both guest-facing and operational performance. Whether creating comfortable background music during the day, supporting presentations for corporate meetings, or providing audio for evening social events, the system can be adjusted quickly without disrupting activity elsewhere in the hotel.

One of the biggest improvements wasn’t simply new equipment. It was giving the hotel greater control over its environment. Staff can manage multiple zones independently, change sources with minimal effort, and adapt spaces as the property’s needs evolve throughout the day. This flexibility helps reduce operational complexity while creating a more consistent experience for guests.

Today, W Hotel Westwood continues to welcome a mix of business travelers, local visitors, and event attendees. The upgraded AV system supports that diversity by allowing each public space to feel intentional without requiring constant attention from hotel staff. Meeting rooms benefit from dependable presentation technology, while restaurants and social spaces maintain an atmosphere that matches the energy of the moment.

At W Hotel Westwood, the best technology isn’t the first thing guests notice. Instead, it works quietly behind the scenes, helping every conversation, presentation, meal, and gathering feel effortless. That’s the value of thoughtful AV integration: creating hospitality spaces that are as adaptable as the people who use them.
