Conceptualized by DJ Nicolas Matar and inspired by Pacha Ibiza’s iconic El Cielo, this club quickly became a mecca for deep house music, a rarity in an era when most New York clubs had shifted their focus to hip-hop. Sound Investment handled the pivotal audio design and integration, installing a cutting-edge sound system that set the standard for clubs across the globe. At Cielo, Sound Investment provided cutting-edge audio design and installation services, carefully curating the technology to complement the club’s unique vision. The sound system featured Funktion-One loudspeakers, FFA amplifiers, and NST processing, which were considered top-tier equipment at the time. This system allowed for a superior, immersive sound experience, setting Cielo apart from other venues and making it one of the first U.S. clubs to embrace the renowned Funktion One speakers. These speakers, paired with high-quality amplification, delivered crystal-clear sound across all frequencies, providing the perfect auditory backdrop for the deep house music that dominated the club’s programming.
