Output, a renowned Brooklyn nightclub, opened its doors in January 2013 and quickly became a cornerstone of New York’s house and techno scene. Known for its world-class sound system, Output was dedicated to delivering an unmatched musical experience for its guests. Hosting performances from legendary artists like Richie Hawtin, Danny Tenaglia, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, and deadmau5, the venue soon established itself as one of New York City’s top destinations for dance music lovers.

Sound Investment was instrumental in creating Output’s reputation for sound excellence. The project required complete audio design and integration, utilizing Funktion-One loudspeakers, Full Fat Audio amplifiers, and NST processing and control systems. These cutting-edge components, known for their power and clarity, set a new standard for club sound systems. Thanks to this high-end design, Output could provide crystal-clear sound at high volumes, immersing every audience member in the music, no matter their location in the venue.

One of the unique aspects of Output’s design was its industrial and brutalistic aesthetic, which extended to its sound system. Under the direction of Sound Investment co-founder Daniel Agne, the team applied innovative techniques, including large-format horns paired with double 21-inch subwoofers. This setup allowed for deeper, richer bass tones, giving Output’s sound an unmatched depth and resonance that perfectly matched the venue’s raw and powerful atmosphere.

Sound Investment’s work at Output marked a groundbreaking step in nightclub sound design. After collaborating with Nicolas Matar on the audio system at Cielo, Agne brought him into the Output project, where Matar took on the role of owner and operator of the venue. Sound Investment designed Output’s sound to become not just another club, but a sound laboratory, where our founders continued to experiment and push the boundaries of what a nightclub sound system could achieve.

With its exceptional audio quality and distinctive design, Output elevated the global standard for club sound systems. Its influence resonated worldwide, and it became one of the most celebrated venues in the industry, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of electronic music and sound design.
