Sound investment had the opportunity to bring our AV expertise to Side Bar Nightclub, San Diego’s most vibrant boutique nightclub and lounge. Ahead of the 2018 opening, our team was tasked with building a system that would enhance the venue’s lively atmosphere and deliver an unforgettable experience for guests. Our work covered the entire club and lounge spaces, ensuring that every area met Side Bar’s high standards for quality sound and immersive experiences.
To achieve the desired audio quality, we installed a setup featuring Funktion-One speakers, widely recognized for their high-definition, immersive audio. These speakers, powered by Full Fat Audio amplifiers, were carefully positioned throughout the venue, ensuring consistent, powerful sound that captures the energy of every event. Our team selected processing and control equipment to accompany the system, enabling precise sound control and seamless audio flow that can be adjusted to meet different needs throughout the space. This setup ensures that sound is delivered with clarity and impact, enhancing the nightclub experience for every guest.
For the lounge, we used Funktion-One bass reflex loudspeakers that deliver rich, near-field bass from a compact enclosure. These speakers are ideal for creating an immersive experience within a more intimate setting. One of the unique challenges of this project was integrating the club’s main speakers into a low ceiling without obstructing Side Bar’s signature lighting fixtures. We carefully positioned each speaker to preserve the club’s aesthetic and maintain optimal sound coverage across the dance floor and lounge areas.
Side Bar Nightclub has since become one of San Diego’s top nightlife destinations, known for its electrifying atmosphere and high-energy performances. We are proud to have contributed to an AV system that not only elevates the guest experience but also enhances the club’s reputation as a leading venue for nightlife in the city.
