Completed in February 2020, our audio design and installation at Lumi created the perfect blend of ambiance and energy, ensuring that every guest could fully immerse themselves in the vibrant experience.
Located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter and occupying the rooftop above Huntress Steakhouse, Lumi presents a visually striking setting. The venue fuses traditional Japanese architecture with modern, eclectic design elements, including pops of color and contemporary fire pits that add a unique glow to the atmosphere. This multi-zone, multi-floor venue required an audio system capable of maintaining crisp sound throughout the space, from the lively rooftop bars to the intimate corners, and Funktion-One was the perfect solution.
Sound Investment’s installation of Funktion-One systems throughout Lumi ensured that each zone—whether it’s a bustling bar area or a more intimate gathering spot—delivered flawless sound. The versatility of Funktion-One’s speakers ensures that the energy of the space is reflected through music and announcements, all while maintaining the sophistication of the venue.
Designed by renowned Southern California firm Davis Ink, the space is as much an aesthetic experience as it is an auditory one.
