Rustic Root Gaslamp is more than a restaurant. Located in the heart of San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, it blends New American comfort food with an energetic social atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from dining destination to nightlife venue. With live DJs, a vibrant rooftop bar, and guests expecting both exceptional food and entertainment, the restaurant required an audio system capable of delivering premium sound throughout every part of the property.

In 2022, Sound Investment Audio completed a full audio upgrade at Rustic Root Gaslamp, replacing the existing system with a high-performance Funktion-One solution designed to elevate both the restaurant and its outdoor bar. The objective was to create an audio experience that could adapt throughout the day, providing subtle background music during dining service while delivering the power, clarity, and energy needed for DJ performances and evening events.

The upgraded system features Funktion-One loudspeakers paired with Full Fat Audio amplification and NST system control. This combination provides exceptional fidelity, precise system management, and reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions. Whether guests are enjoying dinner inside the restaurant or gathering around the outdoor bar, the system delivers consistent coverage and balanced sound without overwhelming conversation or sacrificing musical detail.
