Red Bull is a pioneer when it comes to successfully developing dynamic, immersive and engaging experiential events that leave guests with a lasting impression of their brand. At these events, the ambiance is of utmost importance. One of its more recent productions was a nationwide event that offered a platform for established and aspiring dancers to come together and compete for a chance to represent the US in the World Final. This event was the Red Bull Dance Your Style event where dancers competed in fierce one-on-one dance battles. The winner, chosen by the audience, moved on to the next round.
For its Chicago event, Red Bull’s team chose Thalia Hall as the venue. Thalia Hall is a historic landmark located in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood and founded at the turn of the century. Sound Investment was asked to provide AV support for this expansive space. For the high-intensity and exciting competition, the stage was placed in the center of the event space so that all guests could gather around and watch. With such a fast paced event, the environment needed to match the energy of the dancers and onlookers. Our team applied their expertise in the careful placement of lighting and audio equipment to create a heightened sensory experience for all. After 16 rounds of one-on-one dance battles while the audiences cheered on, Chicago’s hip-hop freestylist Kid Nimbus was crowned winner of the Red Bull Dance Your Style Chicago qualifier.
