Architecture & Design Film Festival

The Chicago Architecture Center is a non-profit cultural organization established in 1966 that celebrates the architectural heritage of Chicago. The organization was developed to educate and inspire people to discover why design matters, including the impact of architecture on the city and its people.

The Architecture & Design Film Festival, based out of New York City, is an international film festival that explores the fascinating world of architecture and design through film. The festival features documentaries, feature films, and short films that explore the built environment and its impact on society, showcasing some of the most interesting and engaging films in the architecture and design genre. In 2023, the 15th Annual festival took place at the Chicago Architecture Center, located in the Aon Center, a skyscraper in Chicago’s Loop. Films featured at the fest included those that highlighted design’s impact on the worlds of fashion, art, architecture as well as urban planning and housing.

The event planners for the festival knew that they needed a production services company that was experienced in creating captivating designs. After all, the attendees of this event would include high profile designers so guests would appreciate a well-thought-out experience which included the strategic use of lighting, sound, and the ideal placement of such sensory enhancing elements. Sound Investment was selected to provide audio, video, and lighting systems for the event, creating a unique ambiance and silent theater experience for attendees to enjoy during the five days of viewings.

Sound Investment’s team of experts collaborated closely with the festival organizers to create an immersive experience that would showcase the films while also highlighting the architectural beauty of the Skyscraper Gallery. The result was a stunning visual display that truly captured the spirit of the festival, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the films and the city’s architectural heritage.
