At PISCES Bar and Seafare, Wynn Las Vegas created a dining space where Mediterranean coastal cuisine, lakefront views, and refined cocktails come together in a setting shaped as much by artistry as by hospitality. Sound Investment Audio was asked to design an audio system that could live within this environment without ever appearing to exist. The project required an audio system capable of integrating seamlessly into the architecture while preserving the visual rhythm of the space.
Traditional loudspeaker placement was impossible. The architecture redirected sound unpredictably, and the design team required a visually pristine ceiling with no visible equipment. Sound Investment’s solution involved a level of acoustic problem-solving rarely required in restaurant work. Custom cavities were built above the finished ceiling, creating hidden chambers where Funktion-One mid-highs and subwoofers could be placed, driven by Full Fat Audio amplification and managed through NST Audio processing.
Every loudspeaker inside these cavities had to be positioned with extreme precision. A circular ceiling grill served as the only opening, but the speaker behind it could not simply face downward. Instead, each unit was rotated to a specific “clock position”—sometimes firing from 7 o’clock, sometimes from 3 o’clock—to direct sound beneath the nearest wooden coffer or around an architectural projection. This approach prevented reflections, preserved clarity, and allowed the system to deliver full-range coverage without interfering with the ceiling’s artistic rhythm.
The resulting sound environment is subtle but transformative. Guests experience warm, even audio that enhances the restaurant’s seafood-forward menu and lakefront ambiance, yet no speaker is visible anywhere in the room. PISCES Bar and Seafare stands as a demonstration of how Sound Investment can integrate high-performance audio into the most complex architectural environments without altering their design intent.
